Elodie Chousmer-Howelles was a string finalist in the BBC Young Musician 2018. Elodie and Julian will perform a programme of French music to include sonatas by Poulenc, Saint-Saëns & Germaine Tailleferre.

About the Event
Violinist Elodie Chousmer-Howelles is establishing herself as one of the most versatile young musicians of her generation. She has appeared as soloist with The BBC Singers in Paul Drayton's arrangement of The Lark Ascending, Glazunov concerto with Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra, Coleridge-Taylor concerto with The Orchestra of St John’s Smith Square, and as soloist in Angela Morley's Reverie with Her Ensemble.
Other noteworthy performances include; a prize-winning solo performance at the 2021 Royal Overseas League competition, leading ensembles at The National Gallery for the opening of Kehinde Wiley’s 2021-2022 exhibition, leading the Chineke! Quartet for the 2020 Booker Prize ceremony, and collaborations with high profile pop artists; including 2020 Mercury Prize-winning singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka, Joy Crookes, Dave, Ellie Goulding, Becky Hill and Kano, amongst others.
Julian Chan has given performances at venues including the Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, St John’s Smith Square, and the Sheldonian Theatre. Performing music by a particularly diverse…
